Another band that’s brilliant live, Renegade Brass Band are a collection of horn players, well guarded by drums, percussion, scratches and a DJ, all being trusty wingmen to the funkadelic sounds peddled by this collective. It’s the sound of the ol’ barrio in New York in the late seventies, it’s the sound of some of the streets of Madero (Tamaulipas represent!) in the mid 90s, it’s Renegade Brass Band.
They’ve released an EP, Radio Rebelde, and just to brighten your mood (Mondays, argh), here’s ‘Nah Mean, Nah’M’SAyin’ ‘.
Be sure to catch them live, they’ll make you jump a lot (with non-hilarious consequences to your knees).
