Roswell’s theme tune. That’s all. That’s how I heard of Dido for the first time. Then a friend told me she used to be a part of faithless. That was enough to make me a fan.

If the majority of her audience missed Roswell, they sure as heck didn’t miss the ubiquitous sample for Eminem’s Stan, another song where it’s all about him. At least that was his MO for the first half of his career.

A fast rise means a lot of disgruntled people dismissed her as bubblegum pop, or even worse, an industry plant. Sure, it’s more palatable for the gen public than faithless, but her well crafted pop is nifty.
