Bakewell Music Festival (part 1)
A music festival? On my doorstep? A free pass? What’s not to like? The Slouchettes donned their coolest festival gear and headed downtown to Bakewell Showground on a lovely summer’s eve. Cordially welcomed by Jonathan Rowlands and his obliging partners in crime we arrived to find a compact festival site with a lovely chilled atmosphere.

It’s a strange thing, the situation with the Shakespeare’s. It’s a rather excellent pub with some tasty ale (I.e. anything by Acorn) but you don’t hear much about the gigs there. It befuddles me, as the music room is rather excellent and it’s not really that far from the main transport routes. Oh, well.
