Losing. This song’s pure emotion is about losing. Or a phyrric victory if you’re a silicon valley ne’er-do-well.

I didn’t know what to expect about a Facebook movie. Never would I expect it to intertwine with my own personal life but that’s how it goes.

Sloucher was gaining traction in those days and I was getting promos from labels instead of requesting them. The place was growing, more collaborators were added to the roster but still, it felt empty.

On a personal level, I was starting a relationship with a friend of over 9 years. In less than a year, it would end in tears. These things do, I guess.

Sloucher isn’t what it was and that’s  ok, sic transit gloria and all that. Not all tech stories end up with people becoming billionaires. Most tech stories end in tragedy.

So….yell “sorry, my Prada’s at the cleaners. Along with my hoodie and my fuck you flip flops” and let the past die.
