Nube Fénix are an experimental band from México. Wait, that sounds familiar. We already talked about an experimental band the other day and now we bring you another? Evil is afoot.
That and also you’ve gotta remember that México’s culture has a lot of mysticism, which sort of translates into some interesting ideas being bandied about. If it works in literature, why not in music?
But, yeah, Nube Fénix. They are from Playa del Carmen, a beautiful place that’s like Vice City but with less Ray Liotta and more Negra Modelo beer. The sound of Nube Fénix is the sound of the rapid approach of Mayan Gods who forgot to change the break fluid and now will crash into Earth. Can you imagine their insurance policies, you guys? Stupid gods.
